From 2nd July tourists from Russia, Ukraine and Kosovo can fill out an online visa application

Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs has further simplified the issuance of visas for Russian, Ukrainian, and the citizens of Kosovo, and the application for a visa from the 2nd July 2013. may also be submitted via the online form.

After filling out an online form, the visa application must be printed with other prescribed documentation and forwarded to the Croatian embassy / consulate or visa center.

In this way, the process of issuing visas is further accelerated and facilitated. The request can be filled out on the web pages of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs.

Also, by joining the European Union, Croatia applies the EU - Russian Federation Agreement on the facilitation of issuance of visas for members of official delegations who, based on official invitation attend meetings, as well as business people and representatives of business organizations coming under sent written requests for participation in conferences and symposia, journalists, persons participating in scientific, cultural and artistic activities, participants in international sports events, close relatives and the like.

As of 1st July 2013. three more visa centers were opened in cities Irkutsk, Khabarovsk, Nizny Novgorod, so that it now has a total of ten (with the aforementioned, visa centers were opened  in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Rostov-on-Don, Novosibirsk, Krasnodar and Krasnoyarsk) .

Furthermore, on 8th of July  visa centers in Vladivostok, Samara, Sochi, Kazan will be opened, on 15th July the last three visa centers in cities of Ufa, Omsk, Kaliningrad.

A slight increase in the number of requests that are received in the visa centers has been recorded, and in recent days about 1,300 applications a day were received and resolved in 5 or 3 working days. From 1st January  to 1st July 2013th Moscow center  has received 31,505 applications for visas, and has so far issued 31,366 visas.
